Citing the ʿAbbasid caliph al-Mustadi bi-amr Allah (AH 566-575 / AD 1170-1180) within a square, ‘al-imām / al-Mustaḍī / bi-amr Allāh a/mīr al-muʾminīn’ (‘Imam al-Mustadi bi-amr Allah, Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic)’; around, ‘lā ilāha illā / Allāh waḥdahū / Muḥammad rasū/l Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah, the One. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic). Rev.
